Daisy, my great grandmother, was born to William and Sarah in Pattiswick, Essex on 2nd February 1874.
By the time of the 1881 census the family (parents and five children) had moved from the Essex countryside into the town of Romford.
Daisy was 17 by the next census in 1891. She was a domestic nurse in the household of Ralph Cassie, a chemist, living in the Chemist Shop on Romford Marketplace.
On 26th January 1895 Daisy married Albert Slipper at St Saviour's, Forest Gate, Essex.
The 1901 census shows Albert & Daisy living with 3 young sons at 8 Stockland Road, Romford.
By 1911 the family have moved out of Romford and are living in Manor Park at 18 Goldsmith Ave. They have 5 children (none have died in infancy) and the youngest was my Grandmother, Daisy Florence.
Daisy died at the age of 52 on the 8th August 1926 and was buried in the churchyard of St Mary the Virgin, Buckingham Road, Ilford, Essex (plot 6385b) on the 12th August.
