William was my husband's great great grandfather and the father of Mary Ann.
He was born in Littlebury, Essex to James and Mary and baptised at Holy Trinity church on the 3rd November 1816.
William married Elizabeth Stock on the 16th April 1843 at St Dunstan and All Saints, Stepney Parish Church.
The 1851 census shows the family with 3 children living in St Botolph, Aldgate.
By 1861 they have 6 children and have moved to Whitechapel. William is a "carman" ( a delivery driver).
William died in 1865 at the age of 49
