Sarah Elizabeth Stott 1858-1940

Sarah was my husband's great grandmother and mother of Herbert Leach. She was known as Minnie.

She was born to Thomas and Sarah in Portsmouth, Hampshire in 1858 and baptised on 25th February.

During her childhood the family moved to Plymouth, Malta and Ireland as her father was a soldier.

Sarah married William Leach on 6th October 1879 at St Philip, Manchester.

Sarah and William had 10 children, 5 of whom had died before 1911.

She was widowed in 1922 and died on the 16th April 1940. She was buried on the 20th April, with her brother Robert Stott, in the Southern Cemetery, Chorlton-Cum-Hardy, Manchester.
