Harold William Slipper 1895-1976

Harold was the oldest son...

Harold Slipper was my great uncle, older brother of my paternal grandmother, Daisy Slipper.

Harold was born to Albert and Daisy on 1st November 1895 in Forest Gate, London.

Harold was in the Essex Regiment during the First World War. Private 43052.

He married Eva Florence Earl in 1927.

In 1939 they were living at 52 Devonshire Road, Ilford and Harold was a linotype operator.

They emigrated to South Africa, leaving on the Klipfontein from Southampton on 24th April 1948.

He died in Johannesburg on 17 May 1976.
