My great grandmother Harriet was born to Thomas and Emily in Barking, Essex on 17th January 1878 and baptised on 22nd February in St. Margaret's Church.
In 1881 she is living at No 3 Park Terrace, Fisher Street, Barking with her parents, maternal grandparents, an aunt, an uncle and two siblings.
By 1891 Harriet has five siblings and they are living with their parents at 18 Union Street, Barking, Essex.
Harriet married George Mundy on 24th June 1899 at St Mary the Virgin, Great Ilford, Essex.
The family had two children by 1901 and lived in Grove Place, Barking with 3 lodgers.
They are still living in Grove Place 10 years later and now have 5 children, including my maternal grandmother, Clara.
Harriet was widowed in 1934 and the 1939 register shows her living with her youngest son and daughter at 11 Mayland Mansions, Whiting Avenue, Barking. She is listed as a paid domestic servant.
Harriet died in 1950 at the age of 72 and was buried in Rippleside Cemetery (grave ref: R/S/OH/25 ), Barking on 10th November.
